The Kyoto Retreat 2026

The Kyoto Retreat is a four-week international artist retreat in Kyoto, Japan, open to artists, curators, and writers at all career stages. Selected participants receive a roundtrip flight, private accommodation, and $800 USD for meals and local transport.

RAY Fellowship Program 2026

The RAY Fellowship Program places emerging leaders in two-year paid fellowships at conservation and clean energy organisations across the United States. Open to recent graduates within three years of their undergraduate degree who have not yet worked full-time in conservation or clean energy.

HTW Berlin – IUNO AI + XR Artistic Fellowship 2026

HTW Berlin's IUNO project is an EU-funded research initiative supporting artists at the intersection of AI and XR. The selected artist or team will co-develop a project at HTW Berlin from May 2026 to January 2027, with access to equipment, mentorship, a scientific paper publication, and public networking events.

AWE 2026 – Startup Pitch Competition

AWE USA 2026 is hosting a Startup Pitch Competition where select AR and VR startups pitch in front of experienced XR investors. The winning startup is honoured on the main stage and receives the Auggie Award for Startup to Watch.

Creative Capital Award 2027

Creative Capital supports bold, experimental artistic projects across all disciplines through grants of $15,000 to $50,000. Open to working artists based in the United States with at least five years of professional practice. Individual artists and collaborative teams may apply.

Changemakers for Youth Program 2026

ChangemakerXchange is selecting 20 social entrepreneurs from Egypt, Germany, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Switzerland, and Tunisia. Participants receive capacity-building support, an in-person summit, seed funding for cross-border initiatives, and access to a global changemaker network.

MIT Co-Creation Studio – Worlding 2026

Worlding is an incubation initiative at the intersection of climate storytelling, social XR, and community-based design. Teams are invited for an intensive in-person gathering at MIT centred on Indigenous knowledge and just climate futures.

AWE Art Festival 2026 – Call for XR Art

AWE USA 2026 is hosting its first dedicated Art Festival on the expo floor. Submit narrative XR works and immersive videos completed between April 2025 and April 2026. Selected artists are displayed for all four days of the event, invited to speak on stage, and may be eligible for a travel stipend.

AWE 2026 – Call for Research Posters

AWE USA 2026 invites researchers and independent creators to submit XR and spatial AI research for display on the expo floor. Accepted presenters receive daily poster hours and exclusive networking. Standout projects may be invited for lightning talks. Published, under-review, and in-progress work are all welcome.

SIGGRAPH 2026 – Appy Hour

SIGGRAPH 2026 Appy Hour invites creators, developers, artists, and experimenters to submit projects for an experimental showcase at the conference in Los Angeles. AR tools, game prototypes, computational art, and mobile-first work are welcome. Presenters must register at the Experience level or above.
