The weathering and cracks highlight its long exposure to the elements, yet it still reflects the precision of Roman stonework.<\/p>\n<p>Byrsa Hill was the heart of ancient Carthage, first as a Punic citadel and later transformed into a Roman center after the Punic Wars.
