Draped Statue – Byrsa Hill, Carthage

This marble statue represents a youthful figure in a long draped garment, typical of Roman portrait sculpture. Found on Byrsa Hill, the ancient citadel of Carthage, it reflects the Roman influence on the city’s art and public space after its reconstruction. The exact identity of the figure remains uncertain.
