Nick Reno

XR Developer
Nick Reno is an XR developer with a strong background in software engineering who began working with extended reality during his undergraduate and master’s studies at the University of Florida. He has contributed to projects spanning education and training, with a focus on intuitive user experience and sustained engagement. His collaboration with the Florida Museum of Natural History resulted in Fossil Finder, an educational archaeological simulation that highlights fossil excavation and preservation in the field. He also contributed to the development of a virtual reality training program for the F-15 Eagle fighter aircraft during his time at the defense contracting company CAE USA. Across these initiatives, he has worked with a range of tools and technologies, from Unity and Unreal Engine to haptic chairs and custom physical controller models.
Nick’s extensive work in XR emphasizes natural interaction, enabling users to adapt seamlessly to virtual environments and fully immerse themselves in the experience. Through TanitXR, he has broadened access to Tunisian cultural heritage, allowing users to explore unique historical content from anywhere in the world.
