This marble bust fragment, discovered in the الفيلات الرومانية بقرطاج, preserves the back of the head و shoulders of a figure. The drapery detail around the neck is still visible, though the face و much of the front are missing due to weathering or loss over time. Busts like this were common in Roman domestic spaces, often used to commemorate ancestors, honor public figures, or serve as decorative art in private villas. Even in its incomplete state, the carving reflects the Roman emphasis on portraiture و individuality.
