This marble bust fragment, discovered in the Villas romaines de Carthage, preserves the back of the head et shoulders of a figure. The drapery detail around the neck is still visible, though the face et much of the front are missing due to weathering or loss over time. Busts like this were common in Roman domestic spaces, often used to commemorate ancestors, honor public figures, or serve as decorative art in private villas. Even in its incomplete state, the carving reflects the Roman emphasis on portraiture et individuality. This model is part of the Tanit XR digital preservation initiative, which documents et shares Tunisia’s endangered cultural heritage through 3D scanning et immersive storytelling. .
