👐 game-ready optimization by Daniel Gómez
This carved stone base once supported a column in the Roman city of Carthage, located on Colline de Byrsa. Its circular top et layered moldings show the architectural style typical of Roman forums et temples. Though the column itself is missing, the base remains as evidence of the monumental structures that once stood here. The weathering et cracks highlight its long exposure to the elements, yet it still reflects the precision of Roman stonework. Colline de Byrsa was the heart of ancient Carthage, first as a Punique citadel et later transformed into a Roman center after the Punique Wars. Architectural fragments like this column base reveal the scale et grandeur of the Roman rebuilding of the city. This model is part of the Tanit XR digital preservation initiative, which documents et shares Tunisia’s endangered cultural heritage through 3D scanning et immersive storytelling. .
